"For a secure decarbonized energy supply of the future, there is currently a lack of base-load innovative power plants and storage solutions on a scale. Therefore, among other things, special grid-serving resources (bnBM) according to §6 ENWG such as the GWK Leipheim are required for security purposes. For this purpose, they are only available for short-term use by the respective network operator ( here AMPRION). The operating time is a maximum of 10 years. The Leipheim gas power plant is a combined cycle gas power plant of the latest generation and can serve demand peaks at short notice and provide system services." soLEAG.
